adding subtype to existing field causes other fields with Domains to display codes not descriptions

Odd behavior in ArcGIS Pro 3.0.0 and Enterprise: I set an existing field as a Subtype on a feature class in our Enterprise GDB and added some codes and descriptions and saved. This FC had no subtypes prior to this change.

Some time later we noticed that in the attribute table for that FC, fields with Domains would only display Codes (not descriptions) and that dropdowns could no longer be accessed in the attribute table, however, the Attributes Tool still shows coded values and dropdowns.

The new subtype field displayed Descriptions and the dropdown was intact in the attribute table.

I tested on a couple of other features and saw the same thing: setting an existing field as a Subtype causes other fields with Domains to display only Codes in the attribute table.

Removing the subtype fixed the issue, and I was able to add a Domain to the same field with no trouble.

Very strange.  One question - in the Attribute Table, top right with the 3 stacked vertical lines (i.e. options), is the "Show domains and subtypes description" item checked on?
