A problem with ArcGIS Pro when the computer is connected to the Internet

ArcGIS Pro frequently hangs when the computer is connected to the Internet and works fine when the computer is disconnected from the Internet.

The answer could well be any number of things, so it's hard to say what your specific issue could be.

Try opening Pro's diagnostic monitor by pressing Ctrl + Alt + M, then watch the Tasks tab. When the computer hangs, make note of what tasks are running in the background.

For me, I see Pro frequently hang as it updates my sign-in status. Probably checking the validity of my licenses, I expect. If I use a concurrent use license served locally, this does not happen, only when it's a named user account.
