Im trying out the new Portal Project options for creating a shared project with Pro 3.5 and Enterprise 11.5.
Ive read the docs, and go through the wizard to create a project, however I get stuck at the 'Home Folder' step. The docs clearly say to use a UNC path to a shared folder, and if not, ensure everyone has the same mapped drive.
It works with a mapped drive, however, if I use the UNC path, the wizard and the dialog both claim the folder doesnt exist, even after selecting the folder in the file dialog!
The shared drive itself is actually an azure files storage account, and the key is saved in my key store, so no username/password is required. Browsing the share works fine in the file dialog in Pro.
Whats going on here? I would rather use a UNC path than try to ensure everyone maps the same drive letter.
Thanks
Hi @AdamPigg,
You can follow this documentation:https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-pro/administration/work-together-in-arcgis-pro-shar...
Hi, thanks, ive read all that, and the linked pages, for example here https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/projects/portal-project-configuration.htm ... on this page it shows the Home folder of the project being a UNC path, however, when I do that, the dialog/wizard says that the path doesnt exist (believe me, it does, i browse to it in the file dialog in the same wizard)
If used as a mapped drive, it accepts it ok, but i would rather use a path if possible.
Thanks
