I think it would be better if we could have a text editor like in Microstation v8i to make things smooth when editing text in layouts and also to find solution for that (callout/leather..) by making something like (Place Note in Microstation v8i),
Personally, I feel myself in the 80s every time I start editing text in ArcMap or Pro 🙂 (especially in Arabic).
