The ability to import BCF Bim Collaboration Format Data into ArcGIS to show the location of clashes is a valid AEC use case. Having to convert with FME or Data Interop first is extra data manipulation work. As BCF is an open standard, it should be relatively straight forward to support the consumption of BCF data so that users of the Scene Viewer can click on a clash and see the clash view that was reported in the Clash detection software.

Currenlty Esri is only listed as supporting IFC natively at Software Implementations - buildingSMART Technical

It would be great if Esri could get a tick in the box for the other formats as well.

Handling of BCF inside ArcGIS will bring us into a position, to interop with CDE Tools like BIM Collab, Trimble Connect, Authoring Tools like Allplan, ArchiCAD and Checkingtools like Solibri, Tekla and others.
The Usecase behind: collect all Issues from the single BIM Models into one holistic view of the project and his issues. 3D, Webbased,
Mobile, serviceoriented, for use in Dashboards, Scenes, ExB
