I'd like to be able to use the Sort Management tool (Sort_management) to spatially sort features vertically. This would be a much more sensible and useful way to sort features on a roughly North-South running coastline where the significance of features diminishes the further you move (East/West) away from the coast.
The current options (UL, UR, LL & LR) will all sort features horizontally from the 'corner' chosen to the opposite corner. I'd like the same functionality but with the Right/Left taking priority over the Upper/Lower.
For example, if UR and a new "Vertical" parameter were chosen, an evenly distributed grid of points would order from the upper right corner initially down to the lower right corner, before progressing left to the next vertical line, then continuing until the Lower Left corner is reached.
