Can you add the option to snap to the intersection of an line feature and a grid line?

It is possible to snap to the intersection of two grid lines or two line feature but it is not possible to snap to the intersection of a line feature and a grid line.

The current workarount is to draw a construction line as feature on the grid line to have an intersection of two line features.

@MarkusWall1 I'm not sure why you can't snap to the intersection of a line feature and a grid line. How about in a new project? Different data?

Here I'm snapping to the intersection of the green line and my grid line (gray):

Hi @MarkusWall1,

To clarify, do you want the ability to snap to the intersection of features that overlap a gridline. Is the documentation below what you are inquiring about.

Hi @Scott_Harris ,

it was a problem with the map in my project (but not only in one project and not only one map). Using the featureclass in a new, empty map in a new empty project, snapping the intersection of a feature and a grid line works. Also a new map in the existing project worked.

Is it possible, that there are to many layers in the map? Or maybe a problem with layers from differen datasources?

Is there any way to repair an older project?

@RPGIS Inference is not what I need, and it doesn't change the behavier of the snapping in my map.

Can somebody close the idea, since it seems to be more of a bug.

@MarkusWall1

I'll close this out since it seems like a bug. If your original map still reproduces the issue, we'd definitely be interested in seeing the behavior to address the bug. The best way to do that would be to present issue to Esri Technical Support so they can log it.
