In an attribute table with a large number of fields (in my case 186), it's incredibly time comsuming to scroll through and find the desired field. Yes, I know I can turn fields off individually or through properties (also time consuming) , or recreate the layer with less attributes, but if I know the field name and I want to quickly reference what kind of data is in it, it would be so nice to just zoom there and have a look.
goto field - <field name> and you're there!
