ModelBuilder reruns the entire model if I

1. Open a model and try to run a step, even if the previous steps show they have been run

a. Example: The previous step reprojected dispersed points layer into a feature class and I tried to run the append into an empty feature class step.  I don't want to rerun the entire model because dispersing symbols takes 35-45 minutes.  Plus the dispersed symbols are already saved in the reprojected feature class.

2. When I make a minor change to a step (changing a geoprocessing tool parameters), it reruns the whole model even though the model has already run up to that point.

Learn from FME Workbench cached mode will be the way to go 🙂
