It would be helpful if, when publishing COTS tools, we could change the actual name of the parameter, instead of just the display name (as an example, when publishing the Clip tool, we have an input parameter that we have named "Input Polygon". The parameter name (which is what our AppDev team must code against) is now called "in_features" instead of adjusting to the name we have provided ("Input_Polygon" would make more sense for us). Having the ability to adjust the actual parameter name in COTS tools would be helpful both during this transition and in the future, as we are constantly in a game of tempting cooperation between older systems and newer.
