Center X of a Feature after Selection

When Highlighting a Feature I can not determine where the Center "X" is located when I am using Aerial Photo's with my work. This goes along with the "+" if I need to rotate that feature. Caption shows this. (Being able to set these with a color would help as like in Cad.)

I posted something similar some time ago. I would like to see an option where you can then press a hot key and it causes the center to expand or glow or something.

The other idea I had on it was that once you select every thing, then where you go to grab the mass is now the spot thing will snap to or rotate or scale on.
