At ArcGIS 10 there is a new Time tab on the Layer Properties dialog. Our data has separate date and time fields. Currently there is no way to select both. The workaround is to create a new field and concatenate the two fields together.

Check out the Arc extension GeoTime to allow for multiple field entries for date and time and get the ability to analyze your data viewing both space and time.  Learn more: www.geotime.com

Additionally it would be helpful to ignore the date or time. I tried enabling the Time Zone layer to give a day and night effect. But to repeat this for more than one day you must duplicate the features. It would be great to allow a feature (record) to repeat daily depending on time. Another example would be to analyze the number of calls coming to a call center by state or country for a month. But be able to look at all calls during the month based on the time of day (excluding the date).
