When I click on an M-enabled line feature with the Explore tool, the M-value is displayed at the bottom of the Pop-up. But it only displays up to 2 decimal places. I need to see higher precision M-values. Please enable the user to adjust the number of decimal places displayed for the M-value in the Explore Pop-up.
This capability was available in ArcMap, for the Identify Route Locations tool, with the ArcMap Advanced Settings Utility. Please bring it back for Pro (or direct me to this setting if it does exist).
Hello @MatthewLeonard,
Thank you for submitting this idea! There is currently a way to change the number of decimal places/precision of the M-values you see at the bottom of the pop-up by following these steps:
Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions about the precision for M-values!

@Charles_Blanchard Thanks for your quick response! However, I don't see how this would solve the problem. I don't see M-value listed anywhere in the Units settings. It's not a physical distance unit like feet, kilometers, etc. So none of the units listed here are applicable.
Hi @MatthewLeonard,
Thanks for your reply!
When you adjust the number format of the default unit (no matter whether it is ft, m, km, mi, etc.), it also applies the change to the precision of the M-value produced at the bottom of the pop-up as shown in the image above. Unfortunately, I do not believe there is currently a way to adjust the M-value precision independently of the precision of the default unit associated with a project.
I apologize for any confusion from my initial response, and please feel free to reach out if you want further clarification.
Thank you,

@Charles_Blanchard OK, I tried changing the decimal places for the default units for the project, and it worked. Thanks!
I would still suggest some tweak to make that more obvious to the user. But I'm glad the functionality does exist.
I would also suggest a setting that would apply to ArcGIS Pro in general all the time, because it seems like this setting only applies to a particular project.
HI @MatthewLeonard,
I am glad my method worked for you, and thank you for your feedback! I have decided to go ahead and submit an enhancement request to Esri Inc. on your behalf to add a setting to independently change the precision of M-values in ArcGIS Pro across all projects.
Thank you again for bringing this idea to our attention, and I will update you on the enhancement's status once the request has been reviewed by the appropriate team!
Warmly,
