Please fix Portal-tier authentication with Active Directory accounts when using the ArcGIS API for Python.  I continually get the error:

Unable to generate token.
Invalid username or password.
(Error Code: 400)‍‍‍‍‍‍

We are trying to use AD accounts for all our user connections in Portal, and in order to get the API for Python to work, we have to roll back to using the initial admin account, instead of being able to pass through our AD accounts.

Our AD accounts work for everything else: signing into Portal, Pro, and Server Manager.

I am following the example shown at the link below to no avail.

I am using the latest release of the API as of writing this (1.5.1)

We primarily write scripts to be run through Task Scheduler, so we don't really want to use OAuth and have to run the script through Jupyter Notebooks, in order to pass through a key.

I regularly use Portal-tier AD authentication with ArcGIS API for Python.  I just tried the "Portal-tier authentication with Active Directory" example, and it works.  It might be worth branching to a question to discuss this more since troubleshooting via Ideas is kludgy.

Matthew Boyle‌ I agree with Joshua Bixby‌ that this is an issue that would require troubleshooting rather than being logged as an Idea.  Especially as Joshua notes it works for him.

Could you please remove this as an Idea and post somewhere more appropriate like ArcGIS API for Python‌?

Thanks!
