When I create 3D profile from a set of points, I need to create a record of that. There are options to save a shapefile that has the points. What I would like is more of a dataset that shows the centerline of the line I drew, a polygon that shows the width I assigned, the points collected, and the profile. If all this data was saved as a permanent dataset then I would have a record of the cross sections I have created from a point set.
