Show Only Active that also applies to Error Inspector

I am working on re-drawing a poorly drawn master-planned subdivision after we finally got the final section. Currently working on a section and noticed that while I have Show Only Active on, the error inspector displays for **all** the topology errors in the extent. 

It would be super useful to apply the same functionality that Show Only Active does for regular feature classes to the error inspector. I understand why it is the way it is, but just having the option would help me figure out why, for example, my parcels didn't build in this instance. After I'm done with this section I can go and resolve the dangles that aren't relevant to my current job.
