Instead of using the merge courses context menu tool to apply a global "merge" to all courses in the selection, it would be nice to have an option for only merging the common lines among multiple parcels.0EME0000000TkC6

This enhancement sounds like it would be a highly productive option to remove very short line segments from the parcel fabric that have been introduced from imported data where parcel boundary dimensions have been inversed from source geometry. This would be a valuable enhancement to our program as it would greatly reduce the amount of effort currently required to help clean the imported parcel baseline in our large fabric.

Here in PMBC we use our "Merge Lines" and "Split Lines" tools.

The Fabric Clean-up Toolbar was developed as we needed faster and more accurate tools for cleaning the PMBC’s Parcel Fabric database. To date we have removed over 100 000 redundant lines from the database which has allowed our team of professionals to spatially improve or align thousands of sq kilometres of fabric. The current set of tools includes:

·Merge fabric lines in fabric
·Split fabric lines
·Convert fabric lines to curves
·Convert fabric curves to straight lines
·Fix fabric curves
·Include/exclude fabric features
·Remove short segments

* All these edits are executed in fabric without the need to unjoin / rejoin parcels.

We have a plan to create a "backlot tool".
