Why there is a limitation of working distance (27 miles) in Travel cost matrix

Hi,

In the link https://developers.arcgis.com/documentation/mapping-apis-and-location-services/routing/travel-cost-m...  under request limits, there is a limitation of 27 miles for walking distance. The question is: why this limitation exists and how and if there is a work around for it?

Probably the limit is the distance of a day's walk
