Why is my arcgis map not showing up in my story map

I just created a new story map and hit the add content icon and chose the map option in the menu.  I am using the new story map builder and not the classic story map templates.  When I choose one of my specific arcgis online maps, an empty box appears, with "loading..." in the side panel.  That is where it stays.  I can't seem to get any map to load in the story map.

Are you still experiencing this issue? 

I would make sure that all the layers in the Web Map use HTTPS, as well as open up your browser's Developer Tools, specifically the network tab, to see the HTTP response codes.

If this doesn't point us in the direction of the cause of the issue I would recommend creating a case with Esri Support - they can take a closer look at this with you.
