What's the best way to add fields so my feature layer and csv will match?

In ArcGIS Online I have a feature layer created from a large csv file. I want to add thumbnail photos for pop ups. I have several queries set up in my app and hope I can add a field without doing everything over. What are the steps to add fields to my attribute table and my csv for smooth updates?

Hi,

You can add a field to your feature service using the add field tool in the table in the map viewer: Work with fields—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS

If you already have it added in a csv file, it may be easier to update the csv file and republish a new feature service with the updated fields: Manage hosted layers—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS

Thank you Kelly. I love the ease of being able to overwrite updates with the csv and want to maintain my current queries and formatting in my app. Before I republish a new feature service I think I will try to re-purpose a sorting field in the original. If that works okay I may add a couple spare fields in future spreadsheets. ~ It worked!
