Trouble finding option to calculate field value

Hello ArcGIS Online Community,

I am working with data that is in decimal form that needs to be converted to whole numbers. I am following the instructions from the page Calculate field values (Map Viewer). The 5th step tells me to click on the menu in the column containing the values I want to calculate, then click the option for "Calculate field".

The problem is that I do not see an option to "Calculate field". This is what my screen looks like when I try to find this option:

I am using a 2020 MacBook Pro. Could this be an issue with the laptop? Should I try using a desktop computer? Could this be an issue with my assigned privileges? 

Any suggestions for how to fix this or a different way to convert my data are much appreciated.

hi @MayaFleagle you have to be the owner or admin of a dataset to calculate it. Do you have those privileges

Hello! Thank you for your response.

I do not believe I have those privileges. How can I identify who the owner or admin is? The dataset was extracted from a feature layer which is contained inside of a group. Would it be the owner of the feature layer or the owner of the group that could grant me the privileges?

@MayaFleagleyes it would be the owner of the original item you derived it from. You can also contact your organization admin as well!

Hi @bbollin, is there a specific Admin Privilege (Edit role) that would allow Org admins to permit Calculate Field to custom roles? For example, I have other Creators with custom roles and I'd like for some to utilize Calc Field in Map Viewer.

@DakotaCasserlySLIC  thanks for this feedback. Extending the editing privileges to field calculation is something that is being evaluated for a future update. Feel free to add an idea here: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-online-ideas/idb-p/arcgis-online-ideas which helps with prioritization and tracking!
