Hi all,

I have secured services in ArcGIS for Server that I would like to add to our organisation's ArcGIS Online.

When adding those secured services, ArcGIS Online does not provide the option to store credentials with service items.

All the references mention that I am supposed to be able to store the credentials if my secured services are externally accessible.

We have web adaptor configured for our ArcGIS for server. How can we tell if our services are externally accessible?

Thank you

Hery

Hi Hery,

You can determine if your services are externally accessible by trying to access them outside your network.  For example, you could use a home computer, or a mobile device to try and access your REST services directory (i.e. http://agspubserver/arcgis/rest/services).

Thanks Jake,

I was thinking if there was another way using my machine at work, as my mobile internet connection is terrible so that if get an error in my mobile device I wouldn't be sure whether it is caused by my internet connection or not. I guess that's the easiest way. Thanks again.
