Social media template - the Twitter log-in isn't redirecting

I just got done showing the Social Media monitoring app to a bunch of emergency management types this week and today when I tried to use it, the Twitter feed doesn't seem to be working.  I log-in, the window pops up, I put in my password, give it permission to access my Twitter account and then the pop-up never redirects back to the website.  Same thing happens to Instagram.  I tried clearing my cache and all that, nothing seems to fix it.  Any ideas?  (Oh, and I know my log-ins for those particular services work.)

Yes, actually!  I talked to someone at the UC who found me the workaround until it could get fixed.  If you add the secure "s", as in, https:// instead of http, it works fine for me.  He got back to me a couple of weeks after the conference and said that he bug was fixed and will be in the next release in late September.

Hi Kimberly,

Can you share the application you are working with? what browser are you using?

I've tested using the public information template and have been able to sign in to both twitter and instagram and see results on the map.

Sorry, I promptly went on vacation. Link below:

I tried it again this morning and it still won't redirect.  Chrome and Edge.  I'm at home today so I'm going to go try it on my home PC right now.

Nope, doesn't work on my home PC either, which leads me to believe it's the app.  It seemed to break after they updated ArcOnline the middle of last week, but maybe they're unrelated.  If I have to re-publish a new app I can, but I kind of didn't want to do that since the URL will change...

Today I had time to play with this - I tried publishing a brand new one and that one had the same behavior.  Hoping I can get to someone next week at the UC to see what the problem might be.

Any luck with this?  It's still not re-directing for Instagram or Twitter.

Thanks!

Awesome.  Thanks Kimberly!  That seems to do the trick!

I'm having problems with the redirect today. I've just set up the Twitter account but it looks like everything should work.

Does the URL show "https" in your browser?  If not, it's probably not re-directing you correctly.
