Registering ArcGIS Online hosted Feature Layer

Is it possible to register ArcGIS Online hosted Feature Layers (as opposed to an ArcGIS Server service) with stored credentials in another ArcGIS Online organization? I have been getting a permissions error when trying to do so and want to clarify whether it's possible or not.

@jcarlson I have tested this. Didn't work between different organizations. Working with the Group sharing, would currently be the best practice.

The content is also searchable in Gallery of the target organization. One may choose to share Hosted Feature Layer Views instead (That depends if you want to restrict any capability for the group users).

Yes I get the same experience with your service. Here's how things look - it generates a token, but then gives a permissions error:

@KellyGerrowDo you see this as expected behavior, or a bug? I understand Partnered Collaborations are coming so I'm guessing there is a fix or workaround with the next release.
