Hey all,
Is there a way to turn off editing for a Layer in the new Web Map viewer without disabling the attachments completely? Or is there a way to do that from the Web App?
The layer comes from survey123 and has a related table with attachments stored on that table.

Hey @ChristopherCounsell ,
Thanks for the suggestion. Firstly, how do you vote? Just give the idea kudos?
Secondly I found where I can control it for my needs. By clicking on the individual layers on the 'Overview' page for the item, I was able to turn off attachments for the point layer but leave it on for the table.
Hi @tiztrain,
You can disable editing of the other fields by customizing the form.
You can toggle the "Editable" property for the questions that you do not want to be editable.
Hey @gis_KIWI4 , that works great for normal fields but I don't see that as an option for attachments.
Hi,
Photos are tied to the layer's editing settings.
For editing existing data, the 'update' capability allows users to delete photos.
It's annoying as we can't turn on 'update' to add photos, without allowing users to remove them.
The only options you have are using Views to filter out 'completed' points and make them entirely non-editable. Or use Survey123, where you have control over hiding the image questions.
You could also set it to 'add' only. For existing points, this means 'adding' a record to a related table and attaching the photo to this.
Please vote for and add a comment to this idea:
Cheers
