New Licensed Subscriber

Just subscribed with ARCGIS Pro Basic and used to have the ability to publish content/services (Web Hosted Layers) and now it errors anytime I try to publish with a very vague "There was an Error Publishing the Service". Not sure what is going on but I was told my license included Hosted Web Layers.

Is there something else I have to set here?  Anything would be helpful

@KHALEDHELMI well there could be an endless list of reasons. Can you share the types of layers you're trying to publish? Have you been able to publish a simple feature with a point in it?

Also, if you go into the jobs menu you can view the log for the failed publish attempt, maybe there are more details in there?

I'm trying to publish a simple shape file, and it was publishing before (on my trial version) but now nothing publishes at all.  I know it was working before getting my new license, so I'm pretty sure it is related.

The jobs menu would be good - but cannot seem to find that in my ARCGIS Online site.  Whats the best way to get there?

It's in Pro, in the Share ribbon menu, theres the Jobs menu. There will be a list of failed publishing tasks. Right mouse click on one of them to view the log.

Also, quite a common issue is working with a Pro document that was previously authenticated with an old named user and then trying to publish with a new named user. So just as a test, can you log out of your user profile in ArcGIS Pro, then open up a brand new pro project (logging in with your new profile) and then create a new feature and try and publish that. If that fails, you'll need to open a ticket with esri support. Easily done via MyEsri.

One last thing to check. Can you create a hosted feature service from within arcgis online?

No unfortunately I cant create (anymore) within arcgis online or Pro.  In pro my log is pretty generic (see below) with "StatusMessage: Publishing web layer failed (AGO)" with this the most relevant error message.   This all used to work with no problems, and whether I try to create a new layer or update an existing one, neither seems to work.  Didnt want to have to wait until Tuesday to call support, but unfortunately its looking more like that 😓

In AGOL, what does your license state? You're definitely assigned a valid creator licence yes?

I have the GIS Professional Basic license, so I assume that includes a CREATOR license in AGOL for publishing.  Do you have any idea?
