Hello all,

I generated a web application based on the AGOL templates, for example with the "Classic Viewer Template". The WebMap used in the application has the basemap "Light Grey Canvas". When opening the application and changing the basemap in the basemap gallery for example to "Imagery" the max. zoom level is restricted to the max. zoom level of the "Light Grey Canvas" basemap (even tough the imagery basemap allows more detailed zoom levels).

=> the application only works as designed regarding to maximum zoom capabilities. Is there a possibility to change that?

Thanks in advance!

Johannes

The apps don't dynamically change zoom levels based on basemap changes. It's the initial basemap that sets the zoom levels. So, if you start with Imagery, you'd have enough for the light gray canvas. However, the light gray canvas won't display at zoom levels beyond what it has.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

thanks for your answer. This is exactly what I expected. But wouldn't it be nice to change this into a dynamic workflow (the max zoom level is set dynamically dependent on the basemap you choose)?

Thanks,

Johannes
