make a feature appear and disappear with time

Hi! I have time enabled map of locations that needs to show the appearance of new locations and also the disappearance of existing locations.I have "Year Founded" and "Year Closed" columns in the database. The map should start with a collection of locations founded in the year in which the map's time slider starts, and then as time progresses, some of the locations should start to disappear from the map. 

Surely it has to be possible to show change over time that includes things closing, ending, etc, and not only things being added? (!). 

I'd be super grateful for any tips.

It looks like your data is all set up for this, you just need to ensure the right settings are ticked on the enable time settings of the feature.

1. Choose specific events in time or time ranges with a start and end time to record the time data.

NB you'll probably need to create an actual date (an exact moment in time) from the year values e.g. 2022 -> 2022-01-01 00:00:01
