Looking to find out details (if available) of ArcGIS Online in terms of how often data held within it is backed up, and if there are any gurantees or assurances given to keep it protected and safe?  We are looking to keep a bit of data stored in the cloud that will be updated regularly over the coming weeks and do not want to loose any critical data.

It looks like Esri is recommending, in this blog, to Back-up data in ArcGIS Online to your local machine from time to time, as a preventative measure.

Better be safe than sorry 🙂

Thanks everyone for your help.  I think it would be sage advice to keep a local copy and back it up from time-to-time.  I think we will look at setting up a reminder to perform a backup of the data after each day as a safety measure.  Nothing would be worse than getting to the last day and then losing all our data!  Cheers.
