Login to AGOL in ArcMap: deleting two characters instead of one

I want to hear if anybody else is experiencing this funny behaviour: When I want to login into AGOL from ArcMap 10.6.1 (this was also the case in older versions) and I misspell for example my user name, when I want to delete a character it always deletes two at the same time. I would say this is a bug but I couldn't find anybody else complaining about it. Attached a small video showing the behaviour.

(I am not sure if ArcGIS Online is the right place but it was the best fit...)

How quirky.

I'm also experiencing this. The arrow keys seem to skip a character during navigation too.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one experiencing this. I couldn't find it in the list of bugs yet but I wasn't sure if I used the right words for looking for it.

Ah thanks! I didn't find it...

So this issue exists since 2013 and there was no effort done to fix it? Probably not annoying enough...
