Hello, I am having a frustrating issue when trying to sync my edits back to ArcGIS Online. I can create a local copy just fine and then I go about in the ArcMap environment editing my features the way I need to. I did this for a couple of days making sure I am saving my edits. I also saved the ArcMap document so I could work on it later. After all of this, I crossed my fingers and hoped that I could sync everything back to the server. I was quite disappointed as the Synchronizing Edits dialogue window just kept running and running. I waited an entire 24 hours to see if it would finally synchronize but it would not. I looked at my hosted features and noticed some updated but most of them did not. Is there a bug in ArcMap 10.1 Service Pack 1 that is not allowing me to synchronize my edits or am I doing something wrong?

Thank you for your time!

Hi Jarom,

You said that some of the features were able to sync into the hosted database, but not all. If you look at the 'new' features in your desktop copy, can you determine which features were not added? Is there something odd about the geometry of these features?

Are you working with points, lines, polygons?
Does your hosted data use Domains?
Roughly counting, about how many features are you trying to sync?

Thanks,
Andrew

Hello, thank you for getting back with me. To answer your questions, there really is not any way for me to tell which features were not added. I made a lot of very minor edits such as snapping, trimming, and extending features for connectivity. I do see some line features that were added in some areas but definitely see edits I performed not synced to ArcGIS Online. There really is nothing odd about any of the geometry as I have hosted several water systems to the online environment and have gone through all of the checks before publishing.

I am working with all feature types which includes points, lines, and polygons. I did a lot of attribute editing for all three of these feature types and from what I can see, most of the polygon attributes I updated have not been reflected after attempting to sync. My hosted data does use a lot of domains and actually did notice that some of those domains did not transfer over to the local copy. I thought that was odd but did not think anything of it. It seems like there are a few bugs to work through but perhaps I just am not doing it right. I can honestly say, I probably performed over 200 edits so I can't really tell which ones were synchronized and which ones were not.

Thank you for your help!
