Since I don't have access to our web server and am not a programmer (however simple it may be to programers ), I am restricted to the templates directly available in ArcGIS Online under Make an App.  Is there a way to load the older/retired templates back into my subscription account for use without having to host them on our server?

Kelly -

Is there something special about adding the template to my Group I'm missing?  I clicked Add Item, then The Item is an application and added the URL of the template, ie: http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=5766ba5eaddc4d48a41ae086b8a2f122

I tried Purpose Ready to Use and Configurable and left API as JavaScript both times.

Then I shared the template item with my Template Group.

After saving and sharing my map, I clicked Create a Web Application and the template appears in the list of available templates.  But when I click Publish it says it is not configurable.

Sue you don't need to create a new item. Just go to the item page for the existing item and click Share and share it with the group you set up.

That's it!  I thought I was signed it because I was working on a map, but when I went to the item page, for some reason I was no longer signed in so the Share option wasn't available.  And if I signed in at the top right I was bounced back to my organization home page.  I had to use the "Sign in to rate this item" to be able to access the Share button.

Thanks for taking the time to trouble shoot this for me!
