Hi all,
On two different projects with different datasets I cannot get the Field Maps Designer to create offline areas.
For the same maps I can manually define and download them on a mobile device with no issues.
Anyone else having issues with this?
All you get is the stupid "Failed" message with no logs or proper error messages.
In the offline section all the layers (7 - 1 editable on one, 4 with 2 editable on the other) look OK.
This behaviour is very common since the June 2025 !Update...
Something that should've been done by lunchtime is still being figured out at 18:15 on a Friday afternoon.
Hi @RTPL_AU - We have got any issue related to offline in AGOL.
Hi Priya,
English is my second language too so just confirming - did you say there are, or there not issues with AGOL?
@RTPL_AU - Could you confirm in FieldMaps Designer that all layers are OK and offline compatible.
My understanding is that this checks for more than just the sync enabled and offline enabled settings.
The log should capture the sequence of events even if it doesn't give you the exact error message.
If it fails after trying to download layer X then it might help narrow the problem down to a layer.
and there been no changes to schema, new fields added or removed?
This is weird because our offline maps are still functional.

No errors/warnings/issues in the offline layer view in FMD.
The FieldMaps app on iOS defines and downloads an offline area with no issues and works as expected.
It is only the creation of Offline Areas in FMD that is playing up; and have been doing it a lot more since the June 2025 AGOL update.
