How to Plot a Pivot Table to ArcGIS Map and Publish the Map to ArcGIS Online?

Hi,

I have never used pivot table to generate map before. I wonder how to use a pivot table (from excel file) to generate a map on ArcGIS Desktop, and eventually publish the map to ArcGIS online?
