How to add a custom locator to ArcGIs Online

Hello everyone

how can I add my custom locator to ArcGIs Online? 

I was able to add in ArcGIS Online a new layer pointing to my address locator (geocoding service), but I do not see how I can tell a map or an application to use my locator.

As of the last update to ArcGIS Online in December 2013, if you have a subscription, you can add a custom locator to your organization.
