Hi, I cannot connect to ArcGIS Online via ArcCatalog. I get an error message saying `An error has occurred. Check your network connection and try again.` Has anyone come across this problem before and does anyone have a solution?

Adding https://www.arcgis.com and https://*.arcgis.com to the internet option's trusted sites worked.

I got the same error - this worked for me:

  1. Close ArcGIS Desktop apps
  2. Open Windows Explorer
  3. Open Internet Options (the cog)
  4. Click on the Advanced tab
  5. Scroll all the way to the bottom in the Settings section
  6. Check Use TLS 1.0, Use TLS 1.1, and Use TLS 1.2
  7. Open ArcMap and signin
