Editor web app: don't want to show "Feature creation is disabled for all layers."

I have seen posts about this message and why it is showing but not how I can just hide it. 

I have an editor web app, where only the editing of attributes is allowed. So I am (and the users are) aware that they cannot create new features. When I click on my edit button this message is hiding. 

Can I somehow tell my app to hide this message from the beginning?

This has been reported as #BUG-000115038, but it's marked with a Low Severity and it's still open. The posted workaround is "Select and update the relevant feature and update features despite the error message."
