I assume that AGOL runs on a cloud platform like AWS or Azure.

Is it running on Windows or Linux?

The reason I ask is because I am curious whether Esri has reached that level of confidence in running their flagship product on Linux or if they are still using Windows Server?

Indeed that would answer the question.

Doing nslookup on the ip addresses shows AWS for several of the arcgis.com nodes I checked. I also looked at our own *.maps.arcgis.com and got the same answer.

So I am going to mark it as "runs on Linux". This warms my heart.

Thanks for the suggestion.

AWS would be linux and Azure would be MS so you're asking if it uses AWS or Azure?
