I am trying to publish a service to my Hosted Layers within AGO from Desktop and its not giving me access to My Content when running publish service wizard. Do I not have Publisher rights with a basic desktop license? thanks

Hi Evan,

ArcGIS Desktop Basic should be able to publish a hosted feature service to ArcGIS Online.

ArcGIS Desktop 10.6: ArcMap Functionality Matrix

(see pages 13 and 14)

Do you have the appropriate permissions in your ArcGIS Online account?

Hope this helps,

I see it says my basic licence should have publishing privilege. How do I check my privileges with AGO?

Hi Evan,

Login to your AGOL organization, then go to your Profile (you can access from the dropdown list in the upper right).

On the 'My Profile' page, check your role: it should say 'Publisher'.

You could also ask your AGOL admin as Katie Cullen‌ suggested in her post.

Hope this helps,
