data enrichment fails throwing error what are possible reasons for that?

When I try to use the Data enrichment tool it just throws the error Data enrichment fails 
Its a layer with a total of 1.000 something Hexagons, how can I solve it? Is it a question of projection? The Hexagons are not in WGS 84!
If you could help me it would be great!!!
