Curves in Pro Don't Show in ArcGIS Online

I noticed when looking at our data for centerlines in ArcGIS Online that segments that are created using the circular arc drawing tool in ArcGIS Pro does not render as curves and simply draw straight lines between the vertexes. On some Googling I seem to find information that hosted feature layers do not support curves?

Is this still the case? I see posts from a literally a decade ago discussing it being in the enhancement list. Is it still a limitation or a setting I'm missing?

Thanks!

EDIT: In further investigation of the data I see that bezier curves render properly in ArcGIS Online, it is only circular arcs that do not.

It looks like it has resolved it for us as well!

@RobertAnderson3 , @BrantSollis2 , @KazemiDavood Hello All, Can you all check to see if the issue is occurring again?  We have a Hosted Feature service that we append new data to and the curves used to appear as curves, but now started appearing as straight line segments.  We Append from file geodatabase in ArcPro 3.3 to ArcGIS Online Portal. Thanks!

Our parcels use true curves when we create them from COGO using the Traverse tool, and they look fine in ArcGIS Pro.

But in ArcGIS Online, they look like jagged edges. This could affect the various widgets that are selecting abutters and other features based on a buffer not to mention it just makes them look unprofessional.

Anybody else still seeing this issue in 2025?

Mine are still the same as the image above.

Glad I'm not the only one. I used the densify tool as a workaround and populated the curves with a bajillion vertices but they still look all jagged in AGOL. They look gorgeous in Pro, so im pretty peeved off.

The "no z-value circular arcs display as straight line in AGOL" was fixed for us in October 2023 - though we had to republish our data (from SDE) over AGOL to have our arcs look like arcs. At that time I believe our circular arcs were stroked to linestrings as I believe circular arcs weren't yet implemented in AGOL. They do seem to implemented and preserved today however when creating new features. Ours are fairly small in radius (such as in city lot parcels) and are in a projected coordinate system and tests indicate they look fine - but rendering in a Web Map as polygons is extremely slow to catch up and generate the curves so they look like real curves. Polylines as curves seem to render much faster.

Wish I could say the same.  Mine just come through as jagged lines -- no circular arcs about them. I wonder what the cause of this discrepancy is.
