Hi Wayne Tinlin,

Are you interested in copying text, or are you interested in copying layers?

If you're interested in copying text, I'd need a little more information on what specific types of text.

If you're interested in copying layers, you can do so within ArcGIS Online Map Viewer.

  1. Within the Map Viewer, select "Details" located towards the top left corner (under "Home").
  2. Select "Content" to display the various layers you have included in the Map.
  3. On the layer you wish to copy, select "..." (located to the right of the layer), then select "Copy".
  4. You'll notice a duplicate of your layer appear in the Content, followed by " - copy".

I hope this information helps.

Cheers,

Joe

Thanks Joe - much appreciated,

As I am new to using ArcGIS Online, I have now learnt how to copy layers (thanks to you).  My question though, to be specific, is concerned with copying objects created in the online map window.  For my local football club, I wanted to display two ovals adjacent to each other on our current playing ground - see image below.  I tried to copy both the oval and the text but had to redo both objects again,  In the case of the oval it was guess work; perhaps you can also tell me if there is a means to enter values for the minor and major axis of an ellipsoid as I made both of mine manually (by pulling corners).

Cheers,

Wayne

Wayne,

Thank you for that image! I now understand the task that you're trying to complete.

So I can try to work on this issue, how did you go about creating the oval? I'd like to reproduce your workflow to see if there is a way to copy both the image and the text!

I look forward to your response.

Joe
