attachment is not opening with Pop-up with out clicking on it

Hello everyone, 

I know this is possible I have seen it before, However, not sure why it's not working.  Thank for the help!

I have sucessfully attached pdfs or tiffs to hosted feature classess (point) . When I click on the point and the pop-up appears the pdf or tiff , itself, has to be clicked again to open. I want it to open automaticaly  ( without the extra clicking) when the pop-up appears.

not sure it would 'preview' a pdf, would have to test.

But, I believe you are looking for the Gallery setting in the Attachments of the popup config.

This not only shows the preview in the popup window, but will also let you click through multiple attachments if they exist.

Not sure then, as that is the setting. 

Are you sure that image is attached and valid?  I don't see the broken icon on my attached tiffs in the popup.

If so, could be something weird in the map.  You could try to add that single layer into a new web map and see if it behaves differently.

Is there a way to tell if it is "valid"?

If I click on it, it opens.

I would think that would mean it's valid. (could also examine them in the data tab of the hosted features item details)

Do you see the same thing when adding to a new map viewer?

What would I be looking for when examining them in the data tab?

All looks good. It's defaulted to "Show" under Photos and files, but other than that, when I click on show and then the description it opens the image.

That's what I meant.  They appear to be valid attachments.  Did you try clicking on other features and/or make sure ROW083.tif is valid in the table as well?

If so, not sure what is going on.  I would try in a new map viewer and see if it still behaves this way.

Yes, all appears to be correct. I will give that a try, though, a new map and create a feature class (point) and attach, see what happens. This is a Hosted feature class I created in Pro with hundreds of feature classes. After I uploaded them to online , I added the attachments. Works, but just not as I need it too. really have to cut out that need to click again on the image and get it to show Preview. 

I wonder if Online likes .pgn files better. I know with bringing in Add Media Layer function it accepted my .pgn, but not my PDF. Weird

I got it to work.

Not sure why, but as a .pdf and tiff it would not preview, but I converted the files to .pgn and .jpg and both of them preview the image. Weird, I know.
