Arcgis Online - Feature Services with Stored Credentials - "Service Directory has been Disabled"

Hi All, 

I have saved a feature service with stored credentials in ArcGIS Online.

I cannot access the service once published as I receive the following error.  Saying that I checked my ArcGIS Server and the service directory is enabled.  

Using HTTPS, arcgis server 10.4.1  Any thoughts?

Not sure if this is you issue, but you may want to check out this comment

on how you can disable a service directory on purpose.

Maybe you have that set?  This is for ArcGIS Server more than portal however, so may not be the same thing.

Thanks for the help, 

I am not using Portal at all, all this is through ArcGIS Online. When I click on the URL that ArcGIS Online creates, it brings me to the to this Portal Error Page.  

I have checked my AGS Server and the Service Directory is enabled.

I am attempting to access feature services from Survey 123 using the process here:

Having encountered this now, it's possible the solution is that your portal machine cannot browse to the target URL due to company proxies that prevent portal's tomcat process catalina proxy settings from passing through your firewall.  These can be configured in /arcgis/portaladmin/system/properties  ...or for <= 10.2.2 follow steps here:

A web secured service actually proxies through the portal process on your portal server, and does not obey the proxy settings of the portal hosting machine's internet options, but uses the options stored in /arcgis/portaladmin/system/properties https://developers.arcgis.com/rest/enterprise-administration/portal/update-system-properties.htm

Also, check your certificates to make sure the root certificate for the site you are trying to use is in your \ArcGIS\portal\framework\runtime\jre\lib\security\cacerts file.  Information on working with the file can be found here:
