In the past, I can copy and paste tags in one go, and AGO can correctly identify and separate them. For example, copy "Urban Planning, Canopy Coverage, Tree Health, Urban Tree Management", AGO can identify the comma and add correctly.
After the June update, it just shows all tags in one.
Hello @BrandonGuo , according to the documentation, a comma is used to separate different Tags.
"Separate multiple keywords or phrases with a comma. For example, to add the tag phrases public lands and parks, type public lands, parks."
And indeed adding a Tag by typing public lands, parks , results in 2 Tags, one called public lands and another called parks. This is the same in the June updated ArcGIS Online, and an older ArcGIS Enterprise, which does suggest it has always been that way.
I'm a bit lost with your copy & paste workflow and what you regard as "add correctly". Can you add a bit more detail to that please.
The screenshot shows two tags, because I tested twice. However, I pasted four tags separate by comma. In the past, after user paste and press "enter", ago will auto identify the comma and separate them.
Hi @BrandonGuo,
We have the following bug logged for this behavior:
Apologies for any inconvenience.
Thank you,
Katie
Hey @BrandonGuo . That's definitely odd. I see your screenshot and it shouldn't be one long tag if comma separated. We are investigating something adjacent to this. If you delete that and attempt copy-pasting the strings again, do you still see the issue?
I tested in-house and it displayed them separately after saving.
Yeah, right. AGO will not display the tags separately. But after saving tags, it did save all of them separately. Seems only have display issue, which will make user think the system can't identify comma.
This should now be fixed with BUG-000177671, @BrandonGuo . Please let us know if you see otherwise.
Thanks!
