Viewers should be able to explore an individual tour point by zooming in or out from the set zoom level and then when they click on the next tour point it should return to the original zoom settings. (I am hoping that for future Story Map Tours the original zoom setting is the individual custom zoom level for each tour point.) A viewer is most likely to zoom in and out of a tour point to explore something unique to that point, a detailed view or the surrounding area, but will still want to see the original zoom level for the next tour point. An example is a map tour of county parks. The default zoom level for each tour stop will be the extent of the park boundary. A viewer may want to zoom in to see a trailhead detail but then when they click on the next tour point, instead of seeing the boundary of the next park they see a very small nonsensical extent.

Viewers should be able to click on the home extent button to return to the overall view and then when they click on the next tour point it should return to the original zoom settings. Currently, if a viewer clicks on the home button to see a tour point in its original context, it renders the rest of the map tour useless.
