Hi

I'm trying to set up a date query using the Query widget in a Web AppBuilder app but the query doesn't return any results...can't figure out why. I get a message saying 'query failed!' and 'number of features found: 0', when there should definitely be some results returned.

So far I've checked/ tried a few things:

  • The layer I'm using has time enabled
  • Filtering by date works fine within the web map
  • When setting the query up within the Query widget it recognises that the field I'm using is in Date format because it lets me set the default to search between two dates
  • When I look at the attribute table in the app it sorts the date field correctly

Any suggestions for other things I can try?

Thanks for your help!

Kirk,

Thanks for the info. This bug is definitely not fixed and it affects both the out of the box WAB query widget as well as Robert's eSearch 1.1.6.

Thanks,

Subu

Subu,

Date range searching was fixed in one of the newer releases of eSearch (current Version is 1.1.8).

Robert,

Thanks for that info. Would you know anything about the out of the box query's widget? That is definitely a pain point at the moment - I do not want to deploy a custom WAB for just this functionality.

What does version 3.7 mean in the bug status report? An actual fix date would make more sense. Do I need to reactivate this bug with tech support?

Thanks

Subu

Subu,

I would bet that it is fixed in the new online release that is scheduled for this month pre-UC.

Robert,

I am hoping you are right. Current ArcGIS online version appears to be 3.7 based on another very recent bug report I filed. So this bug's status should definitely not be closed/fixed in 3.7.

Thanks

Robert,

I am still seeing the same error in esearch 1.1.8 + WAB 1.1. The word timestamp as explained in this thread  (Re: How do you get a date query to work? ) appears to be source of the problem. I am using ArcGIS Server 10.2.2 so maybe that has something to do with this?

Thanks

Subu
