ESRI ArcGIS Navigator for android (released 30th of June 2020) unable to login to Enterprise portal 10.8.1

Hello Everyone,

We are facing an issue in ESRI ArcGIS Navigator for android, we are unable to login using our own enterprise portal the response comes as “You are not licensed to use Navigator. Please contact your administrator” despite the license are assigned in the portal.

 

 

Same issue was described at this article by ESRI we are facing the exact same but with ArcGIS Navigator for android released 30th of June2020.

Keeping in mind that from the same device (Samsung Tab model number SM-T365 /Android 5.1.1) we are able to access our portal through browser and through ARCGIS Explorer using the same credentials moreover we have installed the SSL certificates locally on the device and no issue related to certificates.

Okay for any one facing this as well, here what we have tested reached so far...

  • 1st you can test from the tablet browser to access this url: https://<portal_url>/<portal_context>/sharing/oauth2/authorize?client_id=navigator&response_type=cod...

    and Update the <portal_url> and <portal_context> with the appropriate values that match your environment if it open the application directly then you have no issues in the certificate or the users authentication "we are using sso, ldap Auth."


  • 2nd simply test the license assigned to the user is at the same level of the user ex: Viewer license assigned to viewer account 

  • Check the user license from the https://<portal_url>/<portal_context>/sharing/portals/self

    still no luck will keep this post updated once we reach to a solution...
