Hi,

If we upgrade the system to version 2025.1, do the agents also need to be upgraded to 2025.1, or can they remain on version 2025.0 and still function properly?
If the agents must be upgraded, do you know whether it is possible to script or automate the upgrade process for all agents?

Thank you.

Hey @IrisHadarStltd

Both Agent and Server will need to be upgraded in order for Monitor to remain functional: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/monitor/latest/install/windows/upgrade-arcgis-monitor.htm

There are options to script this out here, if you have a mass deployment method, you should be able to utilize that to make this happen!

Can we get an AGM enhancement that the server should be able to automatically upgrade the AGM agents to the latest version needed for the server?
All it would need would be the credentials for an admin/root account on the agent server.

We have some other enterprise products that deploy/update agents automatically, so this would likewise be a good AGM feature to mature the product and save us time.

Hi Tyler
Although not exactly what you're asking for, see this blog posting which discusses how to use PowerShell scripts for the deployment or upgrade of ArcGIS Monitor Agents. Batch Deploying ArcGIS Monitor 2024.0 Agents

Starting at ArcGIS Monitor 2024.0, every machine in the ArcGIS Enterprise environment requires the lightweight ArcGIS Monitor Agent to perform monitoring. These scripts will help you automate the Agent deploy and configuration process.
