Hello,

We have moved our enterprise to a new environment (New servers, new version, new URLs). Before adding the new components, I wanted to clean up by getting rid of the old system. I have unregistered the Portal and Server components from ArcGIS Monitor, but I still see the Services associated with those sources listed and no way to unregister or remove them. I could not find anything in the documentation, Technical workshops, nor the Esri Community. Is there a way to do this, or do I have to blow out the Postgres database and start over?

Hi @TonyContreras_Frisco_TX,

I have unregistered the Portal and Server components from ArcGIS Monitor, but I still see the Services associated with those sources listed ...

The expected behavior is once you've unregistered an enterprise portal or GIS Server, their "child" service components would also be unregistered.

We have moved our enterprise to a new environment (New servers, new version, new URLs)

Can you please clarify, is the enterprise GIS deployment completely new. Or perhaps the machine/VM names are the same? What release of ArcGIS Enterprise did you move from and to? Any other information you can provide?

What release of ArcGIS Monitor are you using?

Thanks for responding, @DerekLaw. I verified that the Portal and Servers were removed, but the 200+ services were still showing.

I was using version 2023.0 of Monitor and version 10.7.1 of Portal/Server. After several days of still seeing the old services, I upgraded to 2023.3 hoping whatever problem was causing this behavior would be resolved, but all is the same. I have since uninstalled and am starting over again. Thankfully, I was waiting to add the new environment (version 11.1 of Enterprise) before going all out on setting up alerts and analysis.

Hi @TonyContreras_Frisco_TX,

Thanks for the status update and good luck with the revised deployment!

I'm running the latest version of ArcGIS Monitor and I'm also experiencing this behavior. I just migrated from the ArcGIS Monitor host being the agent for all our machines to having Monitor agents installed on each machine. I removed the ArcGIS Server component and replaced it with the new Server component pulling from the agent installed on the ArcGIS Server. But now I have duplicate feature services in Monitor. One feature service pulling from the host agent (which isn't collecting any metrics), and one feature service pulling from the Monitor agent installed on the ArcGIS Server machine (which is correctly collecting metrics).

Edit: And like OP mentioned, there is no way for me to remove those duplicate feature services associated with the old Monitor agent.
